About us

Over 30 years experience of designing and managing small office buildings

Portrait of Bill Reed, who developed The Courtyard   Reedspace develops small office buildings, and is run by architect Bill Reed. By developing, designing, building and managing just one building type, we know it inside out. Every new building is influenced by what worked and what didn't on the previous ones, supplemented by constant occupier feedback. From our experience the best small offices have simple open plan layouts, heavy exposed structure and high ceilings. Its always preferable to maximise use of daylight and natural ventilation.

Our geographic focus is London and Thames Valley town centres, and we are always looking for opportunities to either create new office buildings or transform existing ones (please see We are particularly interested in sensitive sites or Conservation Areas. Bill Reed is a former Chairman of the Bloomsbury Conservation Area Advisory Committee, and remains a member of the Kings Cross CAAC.

London studio

The Kings Terrace studio was developed in 1987 and has been our office ever since. The front facade is the Reedspace logo, and it is on a cobbled mews in the Camden Town Conservation Area.

It lies halfway between Euston, St Pancras or Kings Cross stations to the South, and Camden Market to the North.
